Spanish retreat for adults
Have you been trying and trying to learn Spanish through traditional, academic methods, and found that you aren’t making much progress?
Do you simply not know where to start? Or have you reached the level where you’re ready to venture out of your comfort, speaking to natives and immersing yourself in real life scenarios ?
Then, our adult program might be for you! At Ole Adventures, we understand that learning a new language from scratch is very difficult, especially as an adult, which is why we have developed a unique and proven program to get adults speaking and understanding in just 4 days,
The Method
Beginner
The first half of the week will be dedicated to developing real, applicable vocabulary and phrases, for example ordering in restaurants, asking for directions, or commenting on the weather. In the second half of the week, you will be encouraged to use what you have learnt to communicate with real Spanish people. Don’t worry! They’re all lovely and really patient. You will realise that just because you don’t know every word you are hearing, it doesn’t mean that you can’t comprehend, and this experience will serve as the foundation for your future Spanish learning.
Intermediate
You will be challenged to use what you already know to build new knowledge and vocabulary. Our lessons will be much more focused on grammar and more complex sentence structures, and you will be encouraged to use this new knowledge in our real world scenarios. Your Spanish counterpart will guide you at first, but after a few days, you will be treated like a local. By the end of the week, you’ll feel assured that you can tackle everyday conversations in Spanish with confidence.
Advanced
Your lessons will consist of complex grammatical rules, formal vocabulary and interesting sentence structures. In your interactions with the Spanish locals, you will be treated as a native, and it will be up to you to keep up with conversations. You will find it overwhelming at first, but by the end of the week, you will be shocked at how far you’ve come. You will have a firmer grasp of the Spanish accent, you will pick up colloquial phrases and, most importantly, you will be filled with the confidence that you can maintain conversations with anyone, in any Spanish speaking country.
